Mr Wellington (“we”, “us”) respects your privacy and is committed to handling personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how you can contact us about it.
What we collect
We only collect information you provide voluntarily, or that is necessary to deliver our service:
- Reservation details — name, contact number, email, party size, dietary notes (collected directly or via Quandoo)
- Enquiry details — anything you include when emailing info@mrwellington.com.au or calling the restaurant
- Website analytics — anonymous usage data (pages viewed, device type, approximate location) collected by Google Analytics 4 to help us improve the site
- Cookies — small files that remember your preferences and let analytics work; you can disable these in your browser
How we use it
- To confirm and manage your reservation
- To respond to enquiries and feedback
- To improve our website, menu, and service
- To meet our legal obligations
We do not sell personal information. We do not send marketing emails unless you have opted in.
Who we share it with
We share information only with:
- Quandoo — our reservations partner, when you book through their platform
- Google Analytics — anonymous, aggregated usage data only
- Service providers — payment processors, IT support, accountants — bound by confidentiality
- Authorities — only where required by law
Storage & security
Reservation and enquiry information is stored on encrypted business systems (email, point-of-sale, Quandoo dashboard). We retain it only as long as needed for the purpose collected, plus any period required by Australian tax and business records law.
Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you by emailing info@mrwellington.com.au. We will respond within 30 days.
Cookies & analytics opt-out
You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, or by disabling cookies in your browser settings. Disabling cookies will not prevent you from using the site.
Third-party links
Our site links to external services (Quandoo, Instagram, Facebook). Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies — please review them directly.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy occasionally. The effective date at the top will reflect the latest revision. Material changes will be highlighted on the site for 30 days.
